Laying the Foundation

Chiropractic care is like building a house – certain things have to happen in a particular order for everything to stand strong and work correctly. When building a house, if you tried to put up your walls before you had a solid foundation, your walls would be weak and eventually collapse. If you tried to put on your roof before the walls were ready, you would run into the same problem. The same is true for your body.

Your body requires time and attention to repair itself correctly and fully.

The First Four to Six Weeks

During the first part of your care in this office, your body will begin to release stored tension and acquire new flexibility. You may notice a change in your symptom picture as you connect to areas of your body that have been suppressed or ignored. Don't be alarmed if regions of chronic dysfunction and pain take on a new urgency. It's very likely that you are just becoming more aware of organs, tissues, and body parts that need to be healed.

Once this connection is fully established, your inner physician can begin the healing process.

The Real Healing Process - Six Weeks Plus

After your nervous system becomes clear enough to establish connections with the parts of you that need healing, the real work begins. The length of time required for you to reach your wellness goals will be largely determined by: how long you've had your present condition, what lifestyle habits need modifying (if any), and your willingness to participate in the process.

When appropriate, Dr. Moore may suggest exercises, nutritional products, orthopedic or orthotic supports, or specific essential oils that will augment your program of care. Take-home tools are specifically chosen to empower you and to enhance your healing process. This is a team effort!

Please keep in mind that you didn't arrive at your present condition over-night, so you'll need to allow yourself some time and space to achieve a state of Vibrant Health!. Healing is a process, not an event.
