Vibrant HealthEssential Oil Journeys

Experience Provence!

Coming Soon

Join us in Simiane La Rotonde, Côte d’Azur, Provence, to learn about the growing, harvesting, and distillation of lavender.

On the Valensole Plateau, in the heart of one of the largest lavender growing regions in France, spend a morning carefully picking wild lavender and enjoying the spectacular view from the hilltop, while the hypnotic aroma of the surrounding clary sage fields entices you. Come away with your very own vial of wild lavender essential oil and a spray bottle of delicate floral water. Later, climb the stairs of the ancient, stone Rotonde at the apex of the hilltown of Simiane to appreciate the lavender visitor’s center and shop, shop, shop for more essential oils.

We’ll have plenty of time to enjoy a few of the surrounding sites: the famous Abbaye de Senanque; the nearby castle town of Gordes; the Lavender Museum in Coustellet; the charming Friday market in Lourmarin; Grasse, the perfume capital of the world; St. Remy, where Van Gogh spent his hospitalized years and created some of his most famous paintings; and the historic, Roman city of Glanum.

Travel details and exact cost will be available soon. Please contact Dr. Moore directly for further details and to be added to our “I’m interested!” list.

Vibrant HealthSedona!

April 16-20, 2016

The last journey was absolutely magical -
a blend of education and culture!

“A life-changing experience,” said one of the participants on our way back to the Phoenix airport. This time, we will drive to awe-inspiring Antelope Canyon and Vermillion Cliffs. At the Canyon, a stunning geological array of “painted” rocks, we will have a private, guided tour. Afterwards, we head out to Vermillion Cliffs, where we will stay at the historic Cliff Dweller’s Lodge. The next morning, we will collect plant material for distillation at the studio of our hosts, Max and Clare Licher. Because Max is an expert on the taxonomy of Southwestern plants, he will take us on a plant walk at Oak Creek Canyon in Sedona. Clare will show us their distillation studio, explain the properties and uses of southwestern oils, and instruct us in distilling the plants that we collect. Our journey will include opportunities to enjoy Native American crafters and jewelers and to sample Southwestern dishes (have you ever tried snake or cactus? Yum!)

We only have room for 6 participants, so please sign up soon! Call Dr. Lisa Moore to inquire about the details of the trip, accommodations, costs, and coordinating your arrival and departure times.
